I am a DONA trained childbirth doula (certification pending), a trained Lamaze childbirth educator and certified lactation counselor.   I am a member of Birth Care Network and ICAN of Louisville.

I have a son that was born September of 2006 and a daughter that was born in November of 2008.  I have experienced both medicated and non-medicated labors.

Birth is a key life event and something that is remembered forever. I want to make this the best experience possible by helping you feel empowered by making informed decisions.  I will advocate for you, and support you so that you can have the experience you envision.

You should take a childbirth class even if you are not planning a natural childbirth. There are many things to be informed of even when there are pain medications, inductions or augmentation involved, whether it be planned or unplanned.

It does not matter what kind of birth you desire.  It is your birth and your choice.  I am a huge advocate for informed choice. The road in labor and birth is full of twist of turns. I want you have all the information you need to make the the choices that are right for your situation. Taking a class will allow you to be feel well informed and empowered with YOUR birth knowing you are able to make YOUR choice.

When a laboring mother’s choice and control is taken away from her, she may have negative feelings about her birth. I provide both mother and father/partner with evidence based information about the process so that you can have the best birth possible for you.
